Coastal overtopping and Eyemouth flood risk

Due to the combination of high tides and prevailing weather conditions there is a risk of coastal overtopping in east coast communities over the coming days.

In Eyemouth, flooding is possible along the frontage. Businesses near the harbour and vessels moored in the harbour may be at risk.

The flood barriers are deployed until further notice.

The main risk of flooding is around the high tides at 2.30pm today and 2.30am on Sunday morning.
